What is VESA?

The VESA standard (Video Electronics Standards Association standard) standardises parts of the computer technology for LCDs, TFTs and plasma monitors. There are several versions of this standard, e.g. for support systems. This standard exists in editions from "VESA 75" to "VESA 800 x 400" and is calculated from the arrangement of threads provided on your monitor for the Novus monitor arm. The designation is made up of the horizontal and vertical spacing of the threads. Look for this standard when you buy your monitor and, thanks to this standardisation, you won't find it hard to purchase the right Novus monitor arm. You will find this mounting standard on most flat screens that are available on the German market.

What must you bear in mind when fitting extension platforms?

The standard platform, made of plastic, is 260x170 mm in size. With one platform, it extends to a size of 260x260 mm or with two platforms, mounted lengthways, to a size of 340x260 mm. Mounting the platform crossways produces a size of 260-340 mm. The dimensions of the telephone being supported determine the number of extension platforms to use and how they are fitted.

How do I attach my monitor to a monitor support arm with QuickRelease?

The QuickRelease is a panel for mounting a monitor. It is suitable for monitors that use the VESA 75 and VESA 100 mounting standard. The panel is simply screwed to the back of the monitor using the screws provided. The monitor now simply hooks into the counterpart on the monitor support arm. This allows monitors to be changed quickly and conveniently.

If necessary, a screw provided can be used for securing the monitor to the support element.
